Nearly 20,000 people, some of the biggest names in hip-hop and more work behind the scenes then you can even imagine. Summer Jam is HUGE for a number reasons. Obviously the artists and the Gorge play a big roll but the people behind the scenes are instrumental in making it all happen. From booking the artists to promotional ideas backstage, contests on the air, what happens online and all the audio/video production...no wonder why it's such a big deal.
I've been apart of Summer Jam now since 2007 and this year has EASILY been the biggest year for me. Usually I'm in charge of interview and production audio but this year, I also directed a production team of 12 through my company Zaki•Rose. I'm proud of my team and the work they put in. There were cameras everywhere and we captured nearly every angle of this amazing show. We're still producing it all so look for more videos this week!
Here is Part 1 and 2 of my "Summer Jam Log" .... Part 3 which includes the Intro of the show will be up tonight.
