With a lifetime of direct experience in, and dedication to, Seattle's cultural landscape Jonathan Moore has a well-deserved reputation as an inspiring community leader who knows what's going on – and as someone who has the connections and organizational skills to make things happen.
Indeed, his thoughtful nature has won Moore official positions with some of the city's most dynamic organizations including that of Active Governor for the Pacific Northwest Chapter of
The National Recording Academy of Arts and Science (NARAS), and memberships on the
Mayors Office for Film and Music Advisory Board, and
KEXP radio's Advisory Board. In addition, Moore serves as the Creative Consultant and Advisor to the
Seattle Young Peoples Project, and as the Educational Advisor to
The Langston Hughes Center for Performing and Cultural Arts.
Moore's passion for music led to his co-founding the
Jasiri Media Group, a Northwest based multimedia arts organization and more recently,
Council Management, LLC, an artist management company with a talent roster that includes
Grand Archives and
Sera Cahoone (Sub Pop Records),
DJ Maseo (De La Soul), and producer
Vitamin D (who's accomplishments includes work with
50 Cent,
Busta Rhymes,
Young Buck,
Redman and
Source of Labor). In 2005, Moore received the
City of Seattle Mayor's Hip-Hop Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement & Business Acumen.
