NBC 2 Orlando: Just because you consider your dog a part of the family, DOESN'T mean he's equipped to handle basic family responsibilities.  Like CHILDCARE.

On Friday night, 41-year-old James Irvine of Palm Coast, Florida was home, watching his 10-month-old son, and wanted to go out to a bar.  Fortunately for James, he had a babysitter available.

His PIT BULL.

That's right:  James left the house to go drinking and put his PIT BULL in charge of watching his infant.

Amazingly, nothing tragic happened.  The baby's mother got home around the same time as James . . . and James told her it was cool because the pit bull was watching their baby.

She called the cops, and James was arrested for child neglect.
