Gawker: A woman in Vancouver left a friend's house last week, and found that her bike had been stolen. So she called the police. But the next day, another friend of hers called because she'd found the bike . . . for sale on CRAIGSLIST.
The woman called the police AGAIN. But they wouldn't be able to look into it until the next day. She knew that if someone BOUGHT the bike, she'd never see it again.
So she called the seller . . . who lived two blocks away...and told him she was interested in BUYING it.
They met at a McDonald's parking lot and when she got there, she confirmed the bike WAS hers, because it still had stickers on it that she put on. She asked if she could take it for a test ride . . . then immediately rode off with it. In other words, she stole it BACK.
